Phishing

Phishing is a form of fraud where a person sends you a fake email claiming to be from a legitimate company asking you for all your information. The email directs you to a fake website that looks like the real thing and has you enter any and all personal and confidential information. This information is then put into a database for the criminal to use your identity.

Solicitation of Information

Union Savings Bank will NEVER solicit confidential information via e-mail. Confidential information includes the following:

  • User IDs
  • Passwords
  • Account Numbers
  • Social Security Numbers

Tips To Help Prevent Identity Theft

At Union Savings Bank we are constantly working to protect our customers and their confidential information. One way to do that is to educate our customers about things to look for to help them protect their identity. Here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Never click a link in an email. Instead, type the website address in the
    address bar of your browser.
  • Never email your confidential information using non-secure methods.
  • Use strong passwords and change them regularly.
If you feel that your account has been compromised, or you have received a suspicious email, please send an e-mail to our Fraud Department at fraud@usavingsbank.com. Or you may call 1-800-582-9702 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM ET. (Any emails or voicemails received after hours will be returned the next business day.)
